About the Book
Combating substance use and addiction across the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is a strategic priority to protect public health, prepare youth securely for the future, and enhance social resilience. Over the past term, our Commission has taken decisive, evidence-based steps across a broad spectrum—from preventive measures to intervention and rehabilitation processes—ensuring that state policies are grounded on a sustainable foundation.
The activities carried out throughout 2026 aimed to elevate our capacity to fight addiction to national and international standards. The data presented in our report comprehensively illustrates the concrete projects executed in the field by the Commission, scientific research, and tangible outcomes achieved through inter-institutional cooperation.
